Old Fashioned Recipe
- Spirit: 2 oz. Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
- Sweetener: 1/2 oz rich turbinado syrup (2 parts turbo sugar to 1 part water)
- Bitters: 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
- Express a lemon and rub along the rim and garnish with orange

2 oz. White Crème De Cacao, 1 oz. heavy cream (shake the two together in a tin and pour over ice. Top with soda water
Japchae Recipe from Korea Class

Ingredients
8 oz Korean sweet potato noodles (dangmyeon) or vermicelli
1/2 yellow onion sliced
1 carrot julienned
3–4 shiitake mushrooms sliced
2 scallions cut into 2-inch pieces
2 cups spinach
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tsp ginger minced
3 tbsp soy sauce
1–2 tsp honey
1–2 tsp gochujang
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp neutral oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Black pepper
Salt
Instructions
Cook noodles (boil dangmyeon or soak vermicelli), drain and cut
Toss warm noodles with 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 1–2 tsp honey 1–2 tsp gochujang
Cook separately in a pan with oil, onion and carrot and mushrooms until slightly soft. Cook spinach until wilted lightly salted. In a large pan add a little oil and sauté garlic and ginger. Add noodles and all cooked vegetables. Add 1–2 tbsp soy sauce and 1/2 tbsp sesame oil. Toss everything together 2–3 minutes. Finish with sesame seeds and scallions on top. and adjust salt and sweetness to taste.
BULGOGI (Korean Marinated Beef)
Ingredients
8 oz thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
1/4 Korean pear grated
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
2 cloves garlic minced
1/2 tsp ginger minced
1 tbsp sesame oil
Black pepper
Optional 1 tsp gochujang
Instructions
Mix soy sauce sugar pear garlic ginger sesame oil and pepper. Add beef and marinate at least 15–30 minutes or overnight for deeper flavor. Cook on high heat in a pan with a little oil until caramelized and fully cooked. Serve alongside or on top of japchae
